Confucius say….you confuse me…how many square feet in your yard???? That's all the info we need to answer this question??? Give us the dimensions of your yard so we can figure it and give you the answer.

If you insist on using the rubber, do yourself a favor.. remove the wood.. and install the rubber as recommended. the tow will not so well together.. the wood will come up into the rubber and you'll be forever picking it out.
at 2" deep, a cubic foot of anything will cover 6 sq. ft.

I would check with the dealer who carries rubber mulch and see what they recommend.
